COVID-19 has understandably magnified the need for Mental Health and Well-Being support, therefore with Sally’s career pathway and wealth of experience in the mental health sector, made her the perfect person to become Respectful Care’s first Welfare Liaison and Mental Health First Aider. This in addition to her kind, understanding, empathic nature makes her invaluable to both staff and clients throughout their journey at Respectful Care.
Sally also applies her supportive nature and qualification into her Recruitment role, ensuring newly recruitment staff are given the best possible start, whilst also ensuring safe recruitment by only selecting candidates that express a passion for caring.
Sally says - “The care staff are the unsung heroes of the care sector, and they inspire me daily by providing care and support to those that are the most vulnerable in our community. It’s an emotional but rewarding role and it takes a special kind of person to deliver this in a professional role. Throughout the pandemic, they have all delivered the support to others and at times putting their own needs last. This role is to give the care workers the opportunity to speak about how they are feeling and support them with their needs”
