Respectful Care Mansfield has been rated outstanding in caring by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the regulating body for its service.

During the inspection of the five key lines of enquiry — well-led, effective, responsive, caring and safe — Respectful Care Mansfield was rated Outstanding in Caring.

Mark Docherty, who founded Respectful Care, said: “This is fantastic news for the whole team. The sole purpose of the service is to be caring — it’s in our name and in our nature, so to have the outstanding rating is brilliant.

“We pride our service on delivering the best possible outcome for our clients by employing exceptionally caring carers.”

Registered manager Keeley Riley added: “We are extremely proud to have achieved such a momentous goal. We will endeavour to heighten the service we provide, whilst ensuring the clients remain at the heart of everything we do.”

Respectful Care Mansfield is part of the Respectful Care family of homecare providers that covers areas of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.

The CQC inspector stated within the outstanding section that “people were truly respected and treated and valued as individuals; and empowered as partners in their care in an exceptional service”.

Additionally, “people were treated with respect and dignity by staff, and they received the personalised care they needed”.

Inspectors also noted that staff often went above and beyond what was required of them to provide a service that is “exceptionally caring”.

During the same month Respectful Care were announced as finalists in the Mansfield and Ashfield 20/20 Business in the Community award!
