When Caring Iris (83) Helped the Carer

Here at Respectful Care - Nottingham South, we’re used to being the ones doing the caring.
After all, we are one of the most popular home care companies in the Nottingham area.
But, the “tables were turned” just recently.
Our Judit is one of our fab team of carers, but earlier this year she was diagnosed with a form of breast cancer, for which she has had a lot of gruelling treatment.
When our lovely client Iris (83) found out, she was jokingly told she would have to be the carer for Judit.
Well, she took this to heart - saying she wanted to use one of our uniforms to show that she was the carer!
Judit said: “She cannot help me, but it was so nice that she felt she wanted to. I did not know she had been sent a top to use - it was a surprise to me and heartwarming.”
Judit has been at Respectful Care for about six years, and she cites the caring nature of the company - and its founders Emma and Sarah - as one of the reasons she loves working in home care.
Emma said: “It was so sweet of Iris that she said she wanted to look after Judit so we were happy to let her borrow a uniform for an afternoon."
"Obviously, being a carer is hard work sometimes, but the rapport that is built up with clients is something that makes our job a little easier.”
